Welcome to London Digital Art |
Digital Fine Art and Photography. Writing, Poetry and Arts Journalism.
Stephen Jackson was trained in Psychology and Philosophy at St Andrews, before going on to work as - a arts writer, journalist and editor whose involvements included The Independent, Sunday Telegraph, Gramophone, BBC Music and nearly a dozen books.
- Television films too: one of which went on to win Crystal Prize at the Prague Spring Festival.
| | - But I had also been professionally trained as an image-maker in fine art photography.
- In recent years I've been won over by the magical potential of digital art, above all: and its capacity to transform the commonplace, to blur the distinctions between illusion, reality and the abstract. Social commentary and landscape photography are my equal passions.
- But in the late Nineties came another impetus too for my creative outpouring: a period of depression. It was then I became a published and performing survivor poet, whose biography could be charted through short, modern, narrative poems of love and friendship, poems about bereavement and funerals: the gamut of human feeling from romantic inspiration to the memorial for what could not be regained.
- Video film is a new medium that allows me to meld these interests together.
- But as a professional wordsmith and visualiser, I welcome commissions in any of many forms.
- I also maintain a digital art gallery of my work, which can be bought as limited edition prints.
