Though technically the expression may be executed to art done using other media or procedures and only scanned in, it is usually retained for art that has been non-trivially redesigned by a computing practice (such as a computer program, microcontroller or any electronic technique able to translating an input to produce an output); digitalized text documents and unprocessed audio and video records are not usually pondered digital art in themselves, but can be part of the greater assignment of computer art and information art. Artworks are deliberated for digital picture when produced in a similar way to non-digital pictures but using a software program on a computer platform and digitally outputting the resulting portrait as coloured on canvass.
